If your appliance isn’t working properly, take a moment to find out if it can be serviced and learn more about the repair process to see how quickly the repairs can be completed. Who Can Contact a Technician for Appliance Repair?
At Coast Appliance Repair, our technicians work on residential and commercial appliances so anyone can contact us for assistance. We work on many different types of appliances commonly found in homes or businesses and can handle the repairs for a variety of brand names. This means that among all the appliance repair services on the Gulf Coast, there’s a good chance we can easily and quickly repair your appliances so they work like new again.
If the repair requires a common or easy fix, the repairs can often be done the same day. If we have to order parts, your repairs can still be completed within a short amount of time but may take a few days for non-crucial appliances. It’s important to contact us as soon as you notice any issues to have it diagnosed right away. If it’s necessary to order parts for the repair, the technician can easily give you an estimate for how long it will take for the part to arrive and have the appliance fully repaired.
If you’re not sure what is wrong with your appliance, that’s fine too. Our technicians are trained to diagnose problems and underlying causes with an initial diagnosis. You don’t need to be able to tell the technician exactly what’s wrong, and a technician can often estimate what the problem is with your description of the issue. For diagnosis, a technician will arrive at your home or business to inspect the appliance and figure out what needs to be repaired for it to work properly.
During diagnosis, our technicians carefully examine the entire appliance, not just what may be causing the issue. They’re able to determine the root cause of the issue, making sure the job is done right the first time around. This also allows the technician to take preventive action on any small issues that you may not have noticed yet, such as wear and tear on the coils of your stovetop that will cause a breakdown later on.
What Types of Appliances Do We Service?
At Coast Appliance Repair, our technicians are trained to repair most of the common types of appliances in homes and businesses today. They are trained to diagnose the most common issues that could occur as well as many of the not-so-common issues that you might experience. They know how to repair the issues quickly so you can start using the appliance again with little downtime and no hassle.
Our appliance repair technicians are often called to repair kitchen appliances. These are vital for homes and restaurants, hotels, and other types of businesses. A broken appliance can lead to a loss of food or illnesses if foods are not kept at the proper temperature. In the kitchen, technicians can diagnose and repair a variety of appliances, from your refrigerator, ice machine, freezer, range, stovetop, range hoods, dishwasher, microwave, all the way to the garbage disposal system. They can also repair wine coolers and other kitchen appliances you might need help with.
Businesses such as hotels, motels, and casinos need to wash laundry, and it’s typical for homeowners to experience issues with their washer or dryer at some point. Our technicians can easily diagnose common issues and have them repaired right away. They can also handle dryer duct cleaning to ensure the ducts are free from any lint to prevent fire hazards. Although cleaning the lint trap every time you use your dryer will significantly reduce the chance of fire; you will want to have the ducts cleaned regularly as well.
Outside the Building
Large appliances outside of the building may need to be repaired. A trash compactor is a common outdoor appliance for many businesses that may stop working at some point. The experienced technicians at Coast Appliance Repair can determine why it stopped working properly, obtain the needed parts, and have it repaired fast. This way it isn’t out of service for long and unsightly trash won’t build up around the building.
What Brands Can Our Technicians Work On?

If you have appliances made by these companies, you can contact a technician to get help and be sure the repairs will be done properly.
What Common Issues are Diagnosed by Our Technicians?
Our technicians see a lot of common troubles with different appliances through their days. Though there will always be new issues to discover and repair, most of the issues our technicians see can be easily repaired. Many of these issues are caused by inadvertent misuse, not a failure of the appliance itself, or simple wear and tear. Our technicians can typically diagnose and explain why the issue has occurred and what can be done to prevent similar issues in the future. Some of the most common, and easiest to fix, reasons for an appliance to stop working are below:
Washing Machines –
Washers are crucial for both homeowners and many different types of businesses. They’re frequently used, which means they have the potential to break down. A common issue for washers is the water not spinning out, which could lead to mildewing fabrics and improper drying. There also could be an issue with the agitator not working properly. If smaller loads do not have issues, it may be that the washer is simply being overloaded. A test we recommend trying is to wash your clothes in smaller loads to see if the issue persists. If it does, it could be something wrong with the appliance itself, and we recommend contacting us for diagnosis.
Dryers –
The most common issue with a dryer is that it doesn’t dry all the laundry when it runs the first time. Like a washing machine, this issue could be caused by an overloaded dryer. If the laundry cannot move freely, the heat cannot reach all the fabric and help it dry. Another common issue is that the dryer ducts need to be cleaned or the lint trap has not been cleaned out. Alongside giving the dryer a tougher job to do, these can be safety issues. If there is too much lint build up, there’s a risk of the dryer catching fire, which is an especially important concern for those who often leave the house or tend to other things while drying the clothes.
Refrigerators –
Refrigerators are designed to keep food at a consistent, cool temperature. The cool temperature prevents the growth of bacteria and ensures the food can be eaten before it spoils. If you notice the refrigerator isn’t as cold as it should be, you will want to check to make sure it is not too full and make sure the door is closing properly. A common issue is that the refrigerator may be too full and cannot push the cool air around. If the door is not closing or sealing properly, the cool air may be escaping and unable to regulate the temperature, causing the fridge to run longer and use more energy.
Garbage Disposals –
Garbage disposals often have issues because the wrong foods are put into them. Unfortunately, though it’s a common mistake to make, they are not trash cans and should not be used of to dispose of everything. Starchy foods like potatoes can cause the blades to wear down quickly or could build up and block the plumbing for the garbage disposal. Non-food items like silverware or jewelry can also get into the disposal system and damage the blades. When water is not running while the garbage disposal is running, the motor could burn out as well. These issues will need to be repaired by a technician but knowing how to use the garbage disposal properly can help you prevent further issues.
Dishwashers –
The most common sign of an issue with a dishwasher is that your dishes are not coming out completely clean. They may have food residue still on it, or even something as simple as soap scum. It’s important to check and make sure you’re putting enough dishes into each load without overfilling the racks. You’ll also want to check to see if you’re using the right type of cleaners. Checking to make sure it’s loaded properly before use can prevent most common issues people experience with dishwashers; doing so can also help prevent more serious issues, like blocked water lines or a blocked drain.
Lastly, make sure you’re following all directions from the manufacturer. Even if you’ve used a dishwasher your whole life, chances are you haven’t checked the manual to see how the manufacturer intends it to be run; some machines operate differently than others.
Freezers –
Commercial freezers are often large and are designed to hold significant amounts of food. Home freezers can be attached to the refrigerator or be a stand-alone model, depending on the needs of the home. The most common reason you might experience issues with your freezer is if it’s overfilled or doesn’t close properly. If there is too much food in the freezer, some of the food may not be able to freeze completely or correctly. Like a refrigerator, if the door doesn’t close properly or seal, the freezer will have a difficult time keeping the temperature circulated and consistent. If you’re not careful, you can end up with food spoilage.
Saving Money With Appliance Repair
Repairing appliances instead of replacing them enables you to save a significant amount of money over time. The main reason we find people choose to repair rather than replace an appliance is to avoid having to spend the money and time on a completely new appliance. Repairs are often much less expensive compared with the cost of a replacement.
Another way to save money with appliance repair is with the utilities. Appliances tend to use electricity and water much faster when they’re not working. Each little bit can add up. A dryer that doesn’t dry the clothes properly during the first run will need to be run a second time, using twice the energy that it would normally.
